Relo Lettings Director To Run London Marathon 2025

We are so thrilled that our lettings director, Alex, will be running the London Marathon this coming April in aid of Anthony Nolan which supports those needing stem cell treatment.
Alex will be running the marathon in support of her older brother, who has a challenging and complex blood cancer called Myeloma. He’s undergone chemotherapy, which hasn’t yielded the desired results yet his condition hasn’t worsened either. He had previously been deemed unsuitable for a stem cell transplant but now this is on the cards and hence why Anthony Nolan is so import to Alex. Luckily her middle brother is a 100% match for a stem cell transfer. However this is often not the case for many families and they have to rely on the kindness of total strangers. Without organisations like Anthony Nolan and their stem cell register, it would be incredibly difficult to match those needing a transplant with the very generous donors of stem cells. Donating stem cells is a very safe and straightforward process for the donor. You can find out more and join the register here.
Having tackled the Cardiff half marathon last October in aid of Myeloma, Alex set her sights on the ultimate running challenge and this time hoping to ccontribute towards funding the crucial research and support services provided by Anthony Nolan through her fundraising.
Anthony Nolan has been matching donors and patients for life-saving transplants since 1974, facilitating more than 26,500 transplants worldwide.
Kirsty Mooney, head of supporter-led fundraising at Anthony Nolan, said: “We’re delighted that Alex is running the iconic London Marathon for Anthony Nolan.
“Her fundraising, willpower and determination to tackle the marathon will help us to further our mission to save lives through stem cells.”
Alex is aiming to raise £2,500 for the charity as well as increasing awareness of the stem cell register.
She has been training incredibly hard and we cant wait to see her cross the finish line.
